1928 Jewelry

The 1928 Jewelry Company is known for their vintage and antique Victorian styles. It was founded in 1968 and is still in business today.

1928 is a privately held, family run business located in Burbank, California. In the retail markets, it is primarily sold in department stores. There is also a demand for pieces on the secondary market.

There is a very wide variety of styles and pieces made by 1928 including, pins/brooches, necklaces, bracelets, hair clips and watches.

Most 1928 necklaces have a small 1928 rectangular hang tag near the clasp. Other items are not signed with words, but they all have the same swirled or paisley pattern on the back of each piece. (See the picture below for an example.) This is also how fine jewelry in the late 1800s and early 1900s was finished.

Many pieces are part of a set and there are usually several coordinating items available.

1928 also offers an extensive selection of bridal jewelry pieces, usually adorned with faux pearls and/or crystals.

They also have other jewelry labels, including the Vatican Library Collection, a line that reproduces jewelry and other objects found among the collection of artifacts in the Vatican City library.
