Alice Caviness Vintage Jewelry

Alice Caviness Jewelry was made from 1945 until the late 1990s. She was a fashion designer who began making fashion jewelry to accessorize her designs. She had her own jewelry manufacturing factory that made not only costume jewelry but also pieces in sterling silver. Although Caviness died in 1983, her company continued to produce jewelry until the late 1990s.

Her jewelry is big, bold and high quality. She used expensive art glass and beads and most of her pieces involved work by hand, such as setting stones and hand stringing beads.

Her jewelry is signed with an imprint of her name; the sterling pieces have her name followed by "Sterling Germany". Jewelry has has the name "Alice" (with not last name) was not made by Caviness - it is from the Alice Jewelry Co.
