Coro Jewelry
Coro Jewelry was also sold under the names Corocraft and Vendome. The company that manufactured Coro was in operation from 1901 to 1998 (they ceased operations in the US in 1979). It is a very popular and highly collected line, known for its high quality and beautiful pieces.
Coro Vintage Jewelry
One of the things that Coro is best known for the the Duette pin. In their patented desgin, two pins connect to form one large brooch - it can be worn as two separate pins, or one larger one. The name Duette was trademarked and these items can be marked either "Coro Duette" or "Duette".
Jelly Belly pins by Coro are also very popular with collectors. They feature an animal with a large clear stone as the center (or "belly"). The Jelly Belly style was originally designed and made by Trifari, but Coro also made many of these.
Jewelry sets featuring ribbed, carved or moulded stones that were made in the 1950s and 1960s are very popular with collectors.
These sets included a necklace and matching earrings, some also included a matching bracelet as well.
The Coro Flower Brooch is one of the most popular and collected items.
Coro Trademarks
Over the years, Coro, Corocraft and Vendome Jewelry pieces had many different signature marks. Most involved either Coro in cursive or a Pegasus, or both.
