Vintage Mary Poppins Dolls
There was a Mary Poppins alone in her purple dress and navy overcoat, there was a set that contained Mary in her purple dress and navy coat outfit plus two additional outfits (her "nanny" ensemble and the white dress with the red bodice and red bows at the hem) and there was a set with Mary along with smaller 8" Jane and Michael dolls. Jane and Michael were also sold in a set without Mary. Over the years the dolls were made i& sold n different sizes, but none were as popular as the 11 1/2" version and the other sizes are considered to be rare today. Because the dolls were made for so long, there seems to be a steady supply with little demand, so the prices on these dolls tend to be fairly low. There are different variations found in the dolls, most do not have bangs, but some do, also most have red lips, but some have pink lips. Also the style of her outfits stayed the same over the years, but again there are many variations found - different fabrics, colors, etc. All of the dolls are marked on the back of their heads with "H" for Horsman.
