Vintage Chanel Jewelry

Vintage Chanel Jewelry Vintage Chanel Jewelry is highly desired and collectible. Coco Chanel, who brought the world Chanel No. 5 in 1922 (still the world's best selling perfume), the Chanel style suit in 1924, the cardigan jacket in 1925 and the "little black dress" in 1926, is credited with bringing costume jewelry to the fashion world when she introduced a line of costume jewelry in 1932.

Vintage Chanel JewelryChanel jewelry is big and bold and often contains the Chanel logo (the 2 intertwined Cs). There is a wide variety of styles and influences - there were many designers of the jewelry, including Coco.

Vintage Chanel Jewelry In addition to the pieces with the Chanel logo, one of the most recognizable signature looks are long faux pearl necklaces. They often will have glass and crystal beads with the pearls.

Another Chanel signature look is the big cross necklace - often it will use large pieces of poured glass.

The signature look of weaving fabric or leather through chains began in the 1960s and was used for necklaces and belts. It is still used today - primarily for straps on handbags.

Genuine Chanel Fashion Jewelry is hard to find and can be very valuable.
